Adventist Health Education Foundation
The Adventist Church cares about physical and mental health. The Bible says that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Life is the most precious gift given by God to us, so we must take care of that diligently and testify God’s love and principles through a balanced and healthy life.
AHEF is a Seventh-day Adventist vegetarian food factory operated by the Adventist Organization in The Middle East. It was founded in 1976. The factory is located in Matariah, on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt.
The idea of establishing an Adventist food factory in this region was conceived in 1972 under the leadership of Robert Darnell, then president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Middle East and North Africa territory (MENA). As the Adventist church is known by its health message, Dr. Darnell wanted to share this message to the people living in MENA..
Despite starting as a small factory, facing financial difficulties, AHEF grew as a solid health company, expanding its business by creating a health center in Heliopolis – A place that offers different kinds of services and activities, such as the Wellness Fair, T-Tap, cooking classes, family counseling, and health seminars.
“So if you want eat, drink or anything, do it all for a good of God.”
