WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO US?

Seventh-day Adventists believe it is important to share a special message of love God has for our world. It is a message of hope that reminds us that….

A holy, all-powerful God has created our world and everything in it. He lovingly sustains what He has made, with special regard for the human race He envisioned when He formed Adam and Eve.

We are entirely dependent on Him for our existence. Without Him there is no life and no being. He honors each one of us with the power to choose and to act, and with the privilege of responding to Him in worship and adoration.

Our world is caught in a tragic, cosmic conflict between good and evil. God has answered the challenge through a plan that has engaged all of heaven in order to make sure that He will triumph over evil. Even more, He has given every human being the opportunity of knowing His peace in our conflicted world, and of someday being part of a universe in complete harmony with Him.

God has provided a guide for moral living in the Ten Commandments that are recorded in the prophet Moses’ writings. We honor God and bring blessing to ourselves and others as we follow the principles He has given.

The gift of life He has entrusted to each of us is protected by a healthy lifestyle that doesn’t use alcohol, tobacco, addictive substances, and follows a diet without unclean meats. We also feel a burden to share wholeness and good health with others.

We are called to represent Him in our daily life by how we dress, how we speak, the way we spend our time and money, how we treat others, and the way we care for the earth.

Some day soon God will complete His judgment in favor of those who have accepted His love and mercy, and He will rule against all the injustice and pain our world has ever experienced.

Jesus will soon return to this earth in power and glory to bring an end to the age-old struggle between good and evil, to take those who love Him to heaven, and to restore our earth to its original beauty and peace.

We believe that everything we do is in response to a loving Creator who has given the world a pledge of His care in the weekly, holy seventh-day Sabbath. He promises to return soon as part of His plan to re-create a new heaven and earth, where evil will never rise again, and those who love Him can be with Him forever.

In the midst of all that our world is experiencing, this is His promise. We are privileged to share that good news with you!
